South Atolls

Renowned for tiger shark encounters, the unique geography of Fuvahmulah as a single island atoll, produces distinctive patterns of ocean currents around the island that makes it a cleaning station and nursery for marine life.

The resident Tiger sharks can be seen everyday, all year around regardless of currents, seasons, time or weather conditions.

The Fuvahmulah house reef has many cleaning stations where thresher sharks and other sharks come to clean themselves.

Silver Tip sharks are our favorites.You can encounter schools around the island, especially in the tiger harbor throughout the year.

Oceanic manta arrive in Fuvahmulah for mating, cleaning and feeding between March to May. Grey reef and white tip reef sharks cruise around the island all year around.

About the Stay & Route

  • We will be spending 7 Nights 8 Days at the Ataraxis hotel in Fuvamullah. Last night stay at Hulhumale(H78 or Planktons beach).

  • Mandatory RTPCR tests to and from Mumbai within 72 hours before international departure.

Orca Dive Club will not be responsible for no diving due to weather conditions, for civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, illness, epidemics, accidents, injuries, damage, loss and theft, quarantine, customs regulations, changes in flight itinerary, delays, deportation or refusal of entry by immigration authorities and in case of any cancellation or changes to itinerary by the Local Government. For qualified divers, you are expected to be able to dive to a standard as per the certification and experience requirements outlined. You are responsible for your own and your buddy’s safety during the dive.
